For this effervescent cocktail, pour tequila into a Champagne flute.

Mexican Kir Royale

  • 1 shot tequila Añejo
  • 1/2 ounce of crème de cassis (black currant liqueur)
  • 1 black currant berry
  • 8 ounces Champagne
  • 2 thin slices jalapeño
  • 1 sugar cube

Pour tequila into Champagne flute. Drop in the sugar cube and currant berry. Pour in crème de cassis. Top with Champagne or sparkling wine and garnish with slices of jalapeño.
